At Tetley, we’ve been making tea for over 160 years. No wonder we’re so passionate about it!
Tea, whether it’s black, oolong or green, is made from the leaves of just one plant: Camellia sinensis. Variations of Camellia sinensis grow in more than thirty countries. Each country has it’s own distinct characteristics thanks to a combination of three elements: the local soil, the climate and small changes in the way in which the tea leaves are handled once they are picked.
